FAQs

Is this a meditation retreat?

This is a workshop, not a retreat. Which means you're free to stay wherever you'd like, and you'll just meet for the trainings.

Will there be time for sightseeing?

Yes, you'll have plenty of time to explore Mexico City, share meals with other participants from the training, or do your own thing. Many people come on their own and enjoy connecting with the others. You can also fly in a day or two early to give yourself ample time to immerse yourself in the culture.

Is it safe to come to Mexico City as a woman?

Mexico City is extremely safe. We've had dozens of women travel to Mexico City solo for the training, and there haven't been any safety issues, aside from maybe overeating tacos :) You'll meet others on the training. Many end up hanging with one another in between sessions. There's lots to do and see in the area. Plus the training is held in one of the nicest, most walkable areas of Mexico City, which is La Roma.

Does Light teach anywhere else?

As of now, he's only teaching in Mexico City.

Will the training be in English or Spanish?

Light teaches in English. We also offer trainings in Spanish, but these trainings are taught by a Spanish-speaking colleague of Light's, and they are scheduled at different times.

What's the schedule of the training?

The four sessions are from 10am to 12pm, and 5pm to 7pm, on both Saturday and Sunday. And you must attend all four sessions to complete the training. However, if for some reason you can't make it to one, two, or all of the last three sessions, you can arrange a private session with Light (if available). Otherwise, we can provide you with an English recording of the missed session/s. Attending the Saturday 10am session is mandatory to take the training.

Are private courses an option?

Privates are schedule-dependent. Please email us first with your reasons for wanting a private, and ideal times, and we can see if we can make it happen.
Private trainings start at $8,000 USD.

If I can't make the training, what other resources do you have?

We recommend checking out Light’s book: Bliss More: How to Succeed in Meditation Without Really Trying. He’s also got an online community called The Happiness Insiders. And he regularly posts meditation-related content on his Spiritual Perspective YouTube channel.

What style of meditation does Light teach?

Light is trained as a Vedic Meditation teacher, and he teaches secular principles for making daily meditation as enjoyable as possible, so it’s easier for you to be consistent. The more consistent you are, the more you will experience the full spectrum of benefits from meditation, including less stress, a more regulated nervous system, better sleep, digestion, immunity, reproductivity, hormonal balance, and inner peace.

What makes Light's teaching style unique?
